SCOTUS in limerick
There once was a case, went by Roper,
For the activist types, all they'd hoped fer;
The majority said
That the folks states make dead
Must all be aged eighteen or over.

But the Court's use of law that is foreign
Got Scalia so mad he was roarin':
"I've said it before,
Of its use I deplore!
Now Kennedy went and put more in!"

A consensus widespread the court found,
Though its basis some found quite unsound.
"For Amendment the Eighth,"
Kennedy sayeth,
"By stare decisis we're not bound."
