News From KOREAN CENTRAL NEWS AGENCY of DPRK
News From KOREAN CENTRAL NEWS AGENCY of DPRK

For anyone who doesn't believe that Communism starts in the schools, read this lament from the North Korean government about a symposium held by South Korean conservatives (in South Korea, of course) on the subject of proposed revisions to the "pro-north, anti-U.S. content" that pervades high school history textbooks.

The screed includes this passage: "The scheme to make 'textbooks' obliterating the pride of the nation should be conveyed down through generations and praising U.S. imperialists and sycophantic traitors who have brought all misfortunes and disasters, is an unpardonable anti-national criminal act to perpetuate national division...."

Take this language, tone it down just a little, and enter in "Ronald Reagan" for "U.S. imperialists and sycophantic traitors" and you would get pretty close to what the reaction here by the NEA and your average liberal-dominated school board would be to a similar symposium held here.
